See you doctor: You need to see your doctor right away to determine the status of your pregnancy and also to see how your anticoagulant therapy should be managed. It depends on why you are on Coumadin (warfarin) in the first place and what your risks are during pregnancy. Many women will switch to injectable form of anticoagulant during pregnancy as these do not cross the placenta to affect the baby.

Until delivery: Pregnancy and Coumadin (warfarin) don't mix. Stay off it until you deliver. Heparin is usually used during pregnancy if you need anticoagulation.
