HCG Blood Test: The HCG blood test can detect levels about 10 days after the last menstrual period (lmp), while urine tests lag a few days behind. A single test is not definitive, but rising levels are highly suggestive of a pregnancy. Normally, results are reported in miu/ml and levels between 5-50 miu are consistent with a pregnancy 3 weeks after the lmp. Since you we're "late, " you may be further along.
