See your doctor: Methimazole is used to treat hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism makes the heart work harder than usual, sometimes much harder than usual. This stress on the heart can cause shortness of breath and exercise intolerance. Passing out is a very serious symptom, and needs to be checked out before you do any more strenuous activity.
