Please See Doctor: There are a handful of different types of breast lumps that can grow; possibilities include fibrocystic changes, breast cysts, benign tumors, or even a cancer. It takes very little time and just a few tests to sort this out--please see your gyne or primary care doctor. If appropriate, they will refer you to a breast surgeon or breast center to sort this out. Don't delay!

Many reasons: A breast lump should always be checked by your medical care provider. Most are benign but a malignant lump needs to be ruled out. Breast cysts are very common and they can get enlarged. However it is advisable for you to have a clinical exam as well as the needed breast imaging based on your age and your condition to make sure the lump is not cancerous.
