I had my mirena (levonorgestrel) inserted weeks ago. starting 4 days ago i've had a brown metal smelling discharge. no pain/fever. what could this be? will it go away?

Spotting: Break through bleeding or spotting are common on the mirena, (levonorgestrel) it can make some patient's cycles very light. Usually this gets lighter or goes away after the first month or so.
