Ancient grains: There is a cereal company by that name, but i wonder if you're asking about the grains themselves? So-called "modern" grains focus on wheat, rice, corn, and oats. Many other grains are called "ancient" because they are much older and were eaten by indigenous peoples. Some include amaranth, quinoa, buckwheat or kasha, millet, teff, and polenta.
