Multiple causes: Bumps on the skin that itch is a non-specific rash that suggests allergy. The bumps may be large and evanescent (come and go within 24 hours) more characteristic of hives and respond to antihistamines. The bumps can also be tiny and remain in select areas such as the hands or creases of our arms or legs for a longer period of time characteristic of eczema or a contact allergy.
