At 40 how long can it take to get pregnant?

Varies: Fertility declines with age especially after 35-40. Some women are more fertile than others with advancing age and may get pregnant right away. After age 35, i generally recommend initiating some work-up if a woman is not pregnant within 6 mos. If pregnancy is very desired we don't have the luxury of time unfortunately.
