Which blood tests are necessary in pregnancy?

OB labs: Depends on the doc. I get blood type and antibody screen. Complete blood count. Hepb, c. Hiv. Rubella. Syphilis. Cystic fibrosis or sickle cell screen. Glucose tolerance test. Additionally, i get a urine culture, gonorrhea/chlamydia test, pap smear (if due)... These aren't blood tests but part of most OB lab panels.

Maternal and fetal: Health. Blood tests on the mother are done to asses her health and the fetal health. The sites given below address these two issues. http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/antenatal-care-checks-tests.aspx http://www.Lpch.Org/diseasehealthinfo/healthlibrary/pregnant/tests.Html.
