A member asked:

What can alcohol do to your body usually?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: Depends on how much you drink, how often, and your own biology/psychology. Safe drinking limits are up to 14 drinks/week in men and 7 drinks/week in women and older people, and no more than 3 drinks on one occasion for women, 4 for men. Those amounts result in mild relaxation, mild disinhibition, decreased anxiety. Higher amounts cause intoxication with impaired driving, and do damage to organs.
