Is it normal for first-time contact lens wearers to have blurry vision?

No: Blurred vision with new contacts may be due to excessive tightness of fit due to drying or corneal swelling. It need to be evaluated by the eyecare professional that prescribed the lens.

Contact lenses: It depends. The vision should be clear unless your eyes are dry, the contact lenses don't fit properly, the lenses are in the wrong eye, or if both lenses are in the same eye (this can happen). Try some re-wetting drops. Wait 30 minutes. If your eyes are still blurry, call your eye doctor.
