Usually not.: Most people do not have any signs or symptoms when they are infected with hpv. A subset of people who get the infection may clear the infection as well. In those where the infection persists, there may be signs such as genital warts, which occur with some types of hpv, of which there are over 100 varieties. Hpv testing is available through your physician, and you may be eligible for the vaccine.

Depends: If you acquire the wart strains you may find them appearing on your inner labia within a few weeks/months.Many strains have no obvious symptoms and can lay dormant in your system for years/decades before a couple strains trigger the changes of cervical cancer. In the pre-vaccine era as many as 60-70% of women in their 20"s has blod evidence of HPV.You can ask for a blood test to see if you do.
