Be careful: Depending on what poked the eye, there may be the possibility of an open eyeball! certainly some tylenol (acetaminophen) would be ok but the best thing to do is to get to the er or an ophthalmologist asap to rule out serious trauma. Sometimes, with large corneal abrasions a bandage soft contact lens may be placed for comfort. Cool compresses and artificial tears are helpful as well.

See eye doctor: A poke in your eye warrants an urgent eye exam to make sure you do not have a deeper more serious injury... Even if you're vision is not affected.
