Glasses or rest: The most common cause is tension headaches. This can be due to straining to read without proper glasses, staring at a book or computer for hours on end, or even dry eyes. If Ibuprofen or Aspirin do not relieve the symptoms, they persist despite medication, or there is an associated vision change, you will need to see your eye doctor. Headaches that don't go away always need to be evaluated.

Home remedies: You can try a few home remedies starting with ice application over back of neck and temples. Other things you could try are warm compresses, massaging your temples and green tea. Advil or Aleve or tylenol (acetaminophen) might also provide you some relief.
