Late preterm labor.: Your doctor is probably trying to keep you as comfortable as possible during your episode of late preterm labor. Muscle relaxants, however, do not work for anything but musculoskeletal pain and you are suffering from uterine contraction pain. Patience, tylenol, (acetaminophen) lower back massage by your partner, and frequent assessments by your obstetrician to determine if you are in active labor are needed!
