Does anyone else have problems with contact lens and double vision?

Yes: Binocular eye alignment issues are not corrected with contacts, also with underlying convergence insufficiency, contacts can make it harder to converge. Uncorrected astigmatism can lead to "double vision".

Double: Yes. Some people have strabismus, whereby the eyes are not adequately lined up to work together. This might be masked by glasses, but show up with contact lenses, which cannot treat strabismus. Other causes of double vision include untreated astigmatism and dry eye.
