A member asked:

Is tizanidine hcl 4mg prescribed for parkinson's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: Tizanidine is indicated for spasticity, but may be useful for cramps, muscle spasms, strains, etc, but not usually for parkinson's. I suppose that an older pt might have a stroke co-morbidity and maybe spasticity, and perhaps there might be a role, but would tend not to use it otherwise.
