Usually: Rogaine (minoxidil) or topical Minoxidil is a scientifically proven treatment for hereditary hair loss. It is effective in slowing down or halting the hair loss in most patients with androgeneic or hereditary hair loss. That is it's main benefit. In a small percentage of users of rogaine (minoxidil) there is an appreciable amount of regrowth of hair usually in the first year of use.

Can Be Weak & Greasy: Using OTC (over-the-counter) rogaine (minoxidil) can be effective, but many patients find it to be too weak, too messy and irritating to the scalp. For those patients, we often prescribe Compounded Minoxidil Formula 82M. It reduces the side effects of the off-the-shelf product (rogaine (minoxidil)) and therefore offers better ease of use and results. HairCheck hair bundle trichometry measurements prove the effectiveness!
