Over the counter: My impression is that you are asking about over-the-counter vitamins, medications, or supplements. Please realize that research support is very limited for many of these. Vitamin d supplementation, st. John's wort, folic acid, sam-e, omega-3 fatty acids epa/dha (fish oil) may be helpful for improving mood though they have not be rigorously studied at the level required by the fda for mood.
