Aged Care is Broad: Aged care is broad in scope and very open to many definitions. In essence, it is is an approach to the patient that is transitioning from independance to dependance on others based upon infirmities and extraneous (environmental/social) conditions. The age in years is arbitrary becasue many disease processes (such as als) accelerate the "aging" process of the individual.
