A member asked:

Can cold weather cause a cold or get you sick?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The cold weather itself does not make you sick. What makes you sick is that cold weather drives people inside into closer contact with each other allowing for spread of germs and infections. Extremes of temperature can lower the immune system, but for the most part, it's being around other people that makes us more likely to get sick.
