Lovingly: Babies are ready for sleep when they become fussy, look away, yawn, or rub eyes. Hold baby in arms while preparing for sleep and put baby to bed on baby’s back (not on belly, side, or with a bottle propped up) while still somewhat awake. Add soft music, soft voice.
