I use Cleocin (clindamycin phosphate) vag : Supp or cream, you can also use Metrogel or Metronidazole pills, Cleocin (clindamycin phosphate) usually works the best, you should get a culture because there are many differnet bact that can cause bv, see your gyn.

Bacterial vaginosis: You can do nothing and the vaginosis will clear up or you can consult your doctor and he can take a culture and give you a specific antibiotic for the cause.

Check up: Bv usually needs to be treated by prescription antibiotics. If you have frequent recurrences, talk to your doctor about possible ways to balance your pH and keep the vaginal bacteria in better balance. Some people used over the counter products such as rephresh or luvena. Some physicians use vaginal suppositories containing boric acid, but these need to be made by a compounding pharmacist.
