Different possibles: There are three main things that could be possible, then lots of weird rare things.One possibility is a peristent or recurrent infection, be it a virus or bacterial, such as sinuses or pertussis. Second is allergic causes such as asthma, where something your child is llergic to causes release of chemicals in the body and cough results. Finally, could be irritnts such as smoke, dryness. Talk to doc.
