What are the first signs of having bird flu?

Respiratory symptoms: But, according to the world health organization, there have been fewer than 600 confirmed cases world-wide since 2003. The vast majority have occurred in people who have handled dead, infected birds (poultry). It is not thought at this time that it is transmitted between people. Respiratory symptoms are unlikely to be bird flu unless you have had a significant exposure.
