Im 18, i have low thyroid but my doctors decided its not bad enough to be on medication. when and how will they decide to put me on meds?

Get second opinion: If you are having symptoms you should be treated. If you feel well and your thyroid hormone tests are only slightly out of range it's okay to retest in six months to establish a trend. I find most people feel better one treatment is started even in mild cases. If you aren't getting your concerns addresses by your doctor you might consider a second opinion. Talk to your doctor first.
