A member asked:

No, hpv is a virus (human papuloma (sp) virus) and lives in your blood stream can you explain this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?lives in blood str?: Your statement is a bit confusing.Hpv is the designation of over 100 strains of virus that may infect the skin or mucous membranes. They are passed through direct contact of the virus to exposed skin surfaces & get in through breaks in the skin. They can become inactive & live within the layers of the skin & later reactivate, but they do not spread through the blood.
