Ccommon in pregnancy: In pregnant women, hormones cause changes in the urinary tract, which lead to more infections. Also the growing baby and uterus presses on the bladder, and doesnt let the bladder empty completely. The urine that sits is a likely source for infection. These basic infections can lead to more complications ion pregnancy - so they should be treated. Thus drink lots of fluid and try to empty bladder.

UTI are common : Utis occur more commonly in pregnancy because the growing uterus reduces the flow of urine. Keeping yourself hydrated may help reduce, but not eliminate the development of utis. It’s important to let your doctor know if you are having symptoms of painful urination or back pain, especially with fever & chills
