Same as other fat: Fat is fat people have been eating this for thousands of years..But, like anything else...Some is good and a lot is not good.....Remember the appolonion mean...."moderation in all things.". This is an animal fat, and as such, it should be a very limited part of your diet. Check with your family doc and dietician to learn more about just, "how much or little you need or need to avoid."....

Calories & fat: Pork fat has higher mono saturated fats (almost like olive oil) and therefore has some heart-healthy aspects. However, it is still high in calories. Still better than eating a lot of carbohydrates.
