Getting white spots on the skin?

Varied: Not having the ability to examine you will make it impossible to say with any certainty what could be wrong. White spots could be anything from benign to vitiligo and many things in between. I would suggest you have a dermatologist take a look.

Several Causes: White spots on skin have many causes. In folks older than 40, the main cause is sun damage called " idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis". It happes mostly on the forearms and shins. Other causes include vitiligo, postinflammatory hypopigmentation, medication or chemical leukoderma, and finally hypopigmented mycosis fungoides ( a type of skin lymphoma). I would have you see a dermatologist.
