MUST R/O preg: If not preg, then could be from less estrogen production, so it causes less tissue build up so less bleeeding, so see your gyn for a blood preg test, exam and ultrasound.

HPT: There can be variability in a women's menstrual cycles. However, if you have been sexually active , there is a possibility that the bleeding is not due to your period. Recommend taking a home pregnancy test to know.
