Doc supervision: BP will improve by quitting smoking, weight loss, as well as reductions in alcohol and salt intake. Whether that will be enough to normalize the readings is unknown, but a doctor should help supervise. Some adjustments after doctor consultation can happen on your own, with your keeping of a personal BP log.

Can try: Would quit smoking even if BP may or may not benefit since it helps you avoid cancer and heart disease. After you quit, may try to break Lisinopril and take a half daily while monitoring BP twice daily. If no problems arise may reduce to a quarter daily. As long as you keep close tab on BP you are doing ok. Include your doc in your plan.
