Is cervical canser contagious, if my wife has been diagnosed with cervical canser, what are the chances that imay contract the disease from unprotected sex asthe penis can be in contact with the cervix during open sex?

No. : You have no chance of "catching" cervical cancer from your wife. There is an hpv virus that can sometime cause cervical cancer that is transmitted by sexual contact. Your risk of having anything bad happen from getting this hpv is very very low and many men already have it without even knowing. It is not something you should worry about. My thoughts go out to you and your wife.

Cervical cancer: Cervical cancer by itself is not an infectious disease, although infection by hpv pre-dispose a woman to cervical cancer; men do not have cervix thus you can not have cervical cancer , but it she has human papilloma virus ( hpv)infection, you may have hpv also, some type of hpv may cause warts.
