How can you tell if you have a uti?

Some common symptoms: Common symptoms of uti: burning on urination, urgency, increase frequency, bladder/lower pelvic pressure, nocturia (night-time urination), maybe change of color and odor of urine etc..So, if you have any of these sypmtoms, consult doc for an evaluation/treatment. Otc med such as Azo can help reduce the discomfort, but won't treat the infection itself. Consult doc. Good luck.

Symptoms &urinalysis: Uti can be suspected if u have symptoms of burning or frequency of urination, urinary malodor, low abdominal or flank pain. Urinalysis should then be positive for presence of bacteria and white blood cells thus demonstrating a uti. Urine cultures grow and identify bacterial type. Sensitivities indicate which antibiotics would be effective for treatment.
