Nuvaring: Besides the discomfort of putting it in, some women may have discomfort during intercourse and a foreign object sensation. Vaginal irritation and inflammation can occur, some weight gain and nausea. Serious and more rare side effects include blood clots, but less likely for those under 35 and who don't smoke.
