What is hypomelanosis of ito syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A genetic problem: Hypomelanosis of ito (hi) is a syndrome with hypopigmented whorls and patterns of skin along the "blaschko lines". Chromosomal mosaicism (meaning a person's cells have don't all have the exact same genes) is believed to be the cause. Though multisystem involvement is common, it is varied in which organs are affected and commonly affects the neurologic and musculoskeletal systems.
