Right sided abd pain: The area you describe is called the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. In addition to large bowel problems problems with the gallbladder such as gallstones could cause this pain. Other possibilities in the right upper quadrant are ulcer disease, liver problems, and pacreatitis.
