Psoriasis: Your description sounds like a stye but psoriasis can affect the eyelid skin. Warm compresses should help if it is a stye. Psoriasis would look like a flaky relatively flat silvery scaly rash. If this greats worse or does not resolve, you should see an eye doctor.
