Tough problem: Arthritis is usually a progressive condition that tends to get worse over time. You can try over the counter remedies such as: tylenol (acetaminophen) arthritis, capsaicin or aspercreme, or heat. If that doesn't help, see your primary doctor or a hand surgeon for other options. Keep the hands moving.

Early arthritis in: hands or any joint may respond well to palliative treatment. Ice for swollen overused joints. Heat for stiff joints.Oral Non steroidal OTC Anti-Inflammatories , topical rubs, and making sure that one puts themselves through a full range of motion despite the feeling of tightness and end range of motion pain is a start in the right direction. X-rays an evaluation and staging can help to aid RX
