Doctor can check: Boils are not normal to have. They are bacterial infections. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can check to see if antibiotic treatment and testing of the boils are needed. If the "boils" are just acne, then there is less urgency to the symptoms; but if they are bigger than acne or more frequent than acne, antibiotic treatment will likely be needed.
