Bad period: It sounds most likely it's a bad period, based on the timing you give. Take a home pregnancy test to be double sure; if negative, use advil (ibuprofen) and see if it helps. If it doesn't get better next couple of days, or the pain gets worse, definitely call your doctor for help.
