Bones not joints: Titanium plates are designed to hold broken bones together. Do not confuse this with joints. Bones do not move, joints move.

Yes: A titanium plate will not move or bend. It will add strength and support for any bones, and if there are broken bones, a titanium plate linking them together will keep them from moving. The issue is often that the screws holding the plate to the bones can come loose or move if the area is abused, so there is a healing period after the surgery. The plate keeps the bones together so they can heal.
