No: Pathologies are quite different and unrelated. Cause of ras is usually atherosclerosis of the arteries associated with high cholesterol, obesity + smoking. Renal artery stenosis can occasionally be congenital + there is a segmental type of ras found also occasionally in children and young adults females>males. Kidney infections are due to bacteria multiplying in the kidney + causing inflammation.

Renal artery stenose: 44M asks if kidney infection be a sign of RAS? ANS: I have been doing RAS care fof 50 years and never seen a patient who also had kidney infection as a sign of RAS. But happy to do 2nd opinion now to help figure out what is going on.
