Following: Trimethoprim/sulfa (bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) or septra), Nitrofurantoin macrocrystals (macrodantin or macrobid), Ciprofloxacin (cipro) + Amoxicillin with clavulanate are all first line antibiotics. Gentamicin, ceftriaxone, vancomycin + imipenem amongst others for utis resistant to first line antibiotics, depending on species and resistances.
