No, not true: Many people get MRSA skin infections, and do recover with treatment. With resistant staph bacteria (mrsa), the infection takes work to get rid of, requiring housecleaning, various forms of antibiotics, special baths, treating family members, etc... Infections spread from person to person, and must be evaluated by a primary care doctor, sometimes with help from an infectious diseases expert.
