Consider diabetes: Recurrent infections are often a clue to blood sugar problems.I'd also consider a "pilonidal cyst" .This requires a visit to a dr.

MRSA: This is most likely due to MRSA (staph bacteria resistant to methicillin) living on your skin (colonization) and causing infection from time to time. You need a regimen to clear this colonization which usually includes bleach baths or hibiclens for every household member for a whole week, plus Mupirocin to everybody's nostrils.

Another possibility,: May be that you have a pilonidal cyst condition. Have you seen a doctor for an examination? A physical examination can tell if you have a pilonidal cyst condition that can cause recurrent infections at the location near the tail bone and may need surgery to remove the affected site.
