Excession is best: If the bump is on the inside of the lip and was caused by an injury it can be easily excised/removed with the need of only one suture and the good news is lips heal really fast. The same is true of an injury caused bump on the outer lip. The bump is called an irritational fibroma and to be safe biopsy will rule out anything else.
