What are the risks of anal sex?

HIV, trauma: This is the most efficient way of transmitting HIV if unprotected, and if you contract syphilis, you won't see the primary lesion. Damage to the sphincter can produce fecal incontinence; you may be given exercises or offered surgery to control this. Be sure that if you choose this, it's something that you want to do -- no one should make a decision like this for you.

Many!: Serious prostate infections for a male not using a condom. Serious infection of STDs in both partners if a condom is not used. Damage to the anal sphincter. Hemorrhoids. But it can be enjoyed by many if properly done. Any pain in the recipient should bring a halt to this form of sex!
