Kegals or a pessary: There are lots of treatments for stress incontinence. If your sx are mild and only occur with running you should try kegal exercises. A pessary (a mechanical support that you put in your vagina like a diaphragm) may also be effective. Renessa, an office treatment for incontinence, could work if kegals and a pessary fail. See your md to discuss these and other treatments for mild-moderate leaking.

For mild leaks : A large tampon may give u enough support to prevent the problem during activity until it gets worse and surgery is needed.

Depends. : It would be helpful to know your gender, history (urology) and physical. You can try kaegel exercises or pelvic floors muscle strengthening exercises. There is no medication for pure stress inc, but if urge incontinence is also a complaint, an anticholinergic may be helpful. Sometimes a urethral sling procedure may be necessary. Urodynamics may be helpful to grade severity of incontinence.

Stress Incontinence: Stress incontinence: leaking urine with activity, cough, sneeze. It occurs because of a weakness to the ligaments supporting the urethra. Currently there are many treatment options. Follow up with a gynecologist, urogynecologist or urologist to discuss. In meantime can try a tampon to put pressure on urethra. Change tampon frequent (at least after 4 hrs) because of risk of infection.

Many options: Their are many options for stress incontinence including kegel exercises, pelvic floor therapy, bulking agents and slings to name a few. Some treatments can also be performed at home using InTone or a similar device. To determine what is best for you then see your doctor. Hope this helps.
