Genetics: Genetics are quintessential ingredient of our being, as the interaction of our genetic makeup with the environment that we live in determines many, if not all, of the processes and diseases. For example, psoriasis, an inflammatory geno-dermatosis, may cause dry and scaly scalp. Nevertheless, exclusion of other potential causes by a physician is warranted prior to this conclusion.
